"The Wedding" mask by EMasqueradeGallery "The Wedding" mask by EMasqueradeGallery
-This was a commissioned mask for someone's wedding. The silvery plum and the wine red velvets are scraps from her wedding dress. This is a hard plastic mask base decorated with velvets, crystal cabochans, ribbons, gold and iridescent white trims, little rose buds, and pearl studs. The middle of the forehead is gold with an overlay of acrylic violet Interference Medium paint for a purple shimmer. The forehead is decorated with hanging crystal drops and a sequined trim.

The mask was made August 2006. For more photos of this mask: [link]

This mask was a pain and I've learned that next time I agree to work with velvets -charge extra! ;D

I can't understand why someone hasn't commented on this.....

This is lovely work, and I think it would be a fitting accompaniment to a wedding ensemble. Delicately eye catching and some fine decorative touches. You produce some charming work.
Thank you very much! This mask was commissioned by a woman for her wedding. The velvet on the mask actually comes from remnants of the fabric left over from the production of her wedding dress.
-The customer showed me the fabrics and told me what she liked and then I drew up the design for her and she approved it.:)

-I have yet to see photos of the mask paired with the dress at the wedding, but I've been told that it was gorgeous!:) I hope to get my hands onto some of the photos to put into my customer gallery, which is currently residing in my Scraps folder right now.

Thank you again!
