Artist's Comments

This is the second Phoenix mask I've made. It was a commission for a customer who found my masks through a google search. It was a birthday present to her mother.:)

Was made in March of 2008.

Sold for $150.00

Very beautiful! Similar, but it still has its own unique style...

Beautiful, I love the overlaying textures of the feathers, and their unique fire-like sheen. The customer and her mother must be quite happy with it:)

.
Thank you! And I sure hope they are. Never heard back from either. From what I understand, the mask wasn't going to be worn but hung on the wall. It's sad to me that it won't be worn, but I understand that masked events are hard to come by and not everyone has an interest in attending one. So having it hung on the wall as decoration is fine, too:D
Heck...some of my masks just hang on my wall. No where to wear them to.:(

I love the detail above the beak, and all the gold tips on the feathers. Gah, I just love all the detail you put into your masks! And I'm so happy you're posting things :D

Just great, now he's making friends with worms!
Thank you so much! I love detailed foil stuff and wanted to add those into something.:)

-The new adds are older items, but I hope to be adding some new masks to my gallery before too much longer.:)

Thanks! I don't like my masks to look exactly like eachother, even when they are reproductions of an original, so it's nice to add some different elements.:)
-That, and sometimes I don't have the same materials that I had for the first mask. Got to improvise then! ;D
